Hi my Darlings!

Due to two little dictators more or less ruling my schedule, I am a bit late to write about my Farfetch ambassador trip to Dubai. But it has been lingering with me for the last week, and I dare say my tiny little tan hasn’t faded yet. You may have seen some Instagram pictures of the trip, but even the best pictures pale in comparison with how amazing it was! The weather was off-the-chart warm, and I was spoiled rotten by the Farfetch team. Combining work with pleasure was a beautiful experience and I am grateful to be a member of the ambassadors.
The trip started with a highlight, our Farfetch ambassador team being invited to the Vogue Arabia Fashion Prize where they announced the winner and presented some new talents and upcoming fashion stars. The ambient was very international with guests from every part of the world, creating an amazing buzzing night full of good energy. I was happy to be able to wear my vintage Elie Saab dress which has been a beloved part of my wardrobe for over 4 years and still is a statement piece.

The following day our workshop was set up in the Sofitel where we were also staying. The hotel is lovely and the lunch was served in the garden which was beyond beautiful – what a dream! After dinner at Coya (a must-visit!) we went to the most stunning event of the year: The Night with Tiffany &Co. I was absolutely speechless upon entering the event, and have to admit that I have seldom seen such a beautifully arranged party. It was hosted in the tallest building of the world, who’s height barely surpassed the standards of that party… The installation was stunning, the service beyond reproach and the entertainment simply delightful. I will remember that night for a very long night, the name of Tiffany&Co filled with new magic for me.

As if Farfetch foresaw our exhaustion following such an amazing night out, they surprised us with a whole day of pampering at the Talise Spa. We indulged in massages, mani-pedis, facials and best of all a hammam treatment. After the hammam you will feel like new-born, so please do give it a try when visiting Dubai!

And if that wasn’t enough of a dream come true trip, we went to the desert the last day to ride camels, watch belly dancers, smoke shishas and have dinner under the stars. It was a true Arabian Night Dream full of scents, colours and friendships that will last for a long time.

Farfetch, Emirates and all the wonderful people in Dubai outdid themselves, and I am happy and grateful to be a part of their team. They are a special company, with a special philosophy and I would say some special friends now, as well.

A shout out to my fellow ambassadors: you are all wonderful, talented and hardworking – it was a pleasure meeting each and every one of you!

With the trip on my mind I will now step out into a rainy Munich day and it won’t even bother me!

Have a beautiful day, too, and stay tuned for more
