Dear Ladies (and Gentlemen), as a mother-and-child lifestyle and fashion blog writer, I am of course going to address some of the issues linked with being a mother or having a baby…

Some of you may be facing the end of your pregnancy, and this very special time of your life is laced with very unusual requirements. So I thought it would be great to share my hospital delivery bag packing plan with you. Since the countdown for my second child has arrived, it can be a matter of any-moment, and since Luca, I know what I will need in the hospital.

As a Virgo I am extremely organized, and have planned every little aspect of the first few days my son will spend with me and my family in the hospital. Special thanks to the Il Gufo team that has equipped me to the nines with the highest standard baby clothing.

The most important things to take with you are definitely blankets. Lots and lots of blankets: one to wrap your newborn, and then one to bundle up against him (or her) to make him feel secure and warm. I’m very happy that Il Gufo does not only have toddler clothes, but an amazing selection of baby products as well – towels with the cutes bear prints, special heritage blankets from the first collection made by Il Gufo founder Giovanna Miletti and much more.

All of those towels and blankets go into the bag along with the sweetest print baby-body and a matching beanie to celebrate the homecoming in a stylish fashion. For newborn children, super soft cotton babygrows with fabric teddy bear and bunny appliqués (I’m sorry, this doesn’t make sense to me!!!??). And then the basic things, of course:

  • New born diapers
  • At least 5 baby spit-clothes a day
  • Anti-colic bottles (they also come with cute and funny sooters)
  • Baby socks
  • Soft musical toys to help your newborn calm down and fall asleep
  • Nipple balm

I took some photos of the beautiful Il Gufo collection I’m taking with me, so you can get an idea! I hope you enjoy it! Head to Il Gufo official site:
