When you look at how fast paced fashion is these days – sometimes you can’t get yourself to wear that cut or colour after the season is over – you don’t get surprised when people feel nostalgic for the good old times every once in a while…
I, myself, am quite excited that the 70s are back, and that with smack: all the bellbottom pants, the muted colours and fun cuts are making getting dressed in the morning just that bit more fun than usual. I even went hunting for some original hippie fashion in my mom’s closet: something new something old and something borrowed (actually more stolen than borrowed, I don’t think I’m giving it back), and I suggest you do the same before she starts wearing it herself again 😉
I love seeing how fashion revives and reinterprets styles from the past. Everything comes back at least once, but each designer gives the look a unique twist that makes it special and new.
I put together this editorial shoot to share how much I enjoy the 70s look. It can be fun, cool or simply stylish.

This extremely cute look we created with little Luca today almost broke my heart 🙂 … so lovely and stylish in mini size.
I found that adorable coat (from Stupegna) being on vacation in Sardegna and I knew it would be a very special piece for my little boy. Just add mini Tod's loafers and blue stockings or just a skinny jeans, here he comes, my pretty “Italian Boy” … and mummy is already lost in love!! 😉
I knew the day would come when all the shiny, bright and colourful things that catch my eyes would become interesting for Luca, too, but when it first happened, I was still surprised: it seems like just yesterday he could barely sit up and now he’s crawling faster that Usain Bolt and my closet is one of his favourite places to treasure hunt.
Thankfully I had my IPhone on me when I heard happy noises coming from my changing room… there he was cooing over my shoes and dress hems. Unpacking my shirts and examining my pants. The funniest part was that he would put them back again – not neatly folded, but at least he tried. Every once in a while taking a break to check himself out in the mirror. I wonder where he got that and his expensive taste from…!?
Luca's wearing …
First look: Stella McCartney Kids SS2015
Second look: Overall from “Rodini Baby” Italy
Third look: Gap Kids and Zara jogging pants
