Self-Care and the Influencer LifeFrom outside the Influencer Life looks glamorous, fun and exciting. We get to travel to beautiful places, get invited to amazing events and, well, our Insta looks like a picture book of pleasures. But what people don’t see is the rushing to take a taxi/train/plane every other day. The staying up late preparing for the coming days. The ups and downs of success and slow days. And worst of all: the separation from family and friends while working. Every job has a stressful side, and while I am doing what I love, it does take a toll on me and my family at times. I am not saying this because I just want to complain or for you to feel sorry for me. I want to raise awareness to the fact that I, too, am often exhausted, sometimes down and every once in a while, I just want to drop everything and move into a cabin in the woods with no WIFI. No matter what kind of a job you have – and if you’re struggling with boredom or stress, self-care should be a central part of everyone’s life! Mental health is so important, and I feel it’s my responsibility to share what I have learned over the years – by myself and with help of my friend, psychologist Silja Litvin.
